Payroll: Paid Sick Leave

Effective 7/1 Alaska will implement a Paid Sick Leave policy to all employes, except for certain employees exempt from the requirements. See the linked FAQ for more information.

What’s new?

Missouri has been added as a jurisdiction for Mandates by State or Municipality. For more information on handling mandated sick leave in Greenshades Payroll, please see our article on how to set up this leave type.

Payroll: Reversals Generate Arrears

We previously introduced the ability to generate a negative reversal check in addition to the remove functionality for voiding checks. The reversed checks did not support arrears which was a gap in the process for clients.

What’s new?

We now have a new checkbox where you elect to generate arrears for the reversal. Arrears are covered for net wages and deductions, if they are set up in the master code to allow for arrears. By default, this is always un-checked, and you must select the arrears.

You can learn more about our voiding check options here.

Reports: Employee Wage Summary

There are two versions of the Employee Wage Summary, one for Payroll clients and another for non-payroll clients. These versions differ slightly in functionality to meet the unique needs of each client type.

What’s new?

The Payroll version of the report was incorrectly linked to the non-payroll version. As a result, Payroll clients were temporarily accessing the non-payroll version, which includes an "Export Pay Details by Pay Code" feature not available in the Payroll report.

The report link for Payroll clients has been corrected to point to the proper version.

The "Export Pay Details by Pay Code" functionality has now been added to the Payroll version to maintain a consistent client experience.

Reports: Added Loading Wheels

In some cases, certain reports can contain a very large amount of data. To ensure performance and reliability we do not display a preview of these larger reports. Instead, you will see a Download button.

Previously, after clicking the Download button, there was no visual indication that the download had started though the file was generating in the background. This may have caused some confusion regarding the status of the download.

What’s new?

Loading wheels have been added to these reports. Now when the download button is clicked a loading wheel will appear ensuring you that a process is occurring.
