How year-to-date (YTD) used is calculated
The YTD Used amount is calculated by adding up all time off paid out on paystubs since the first observed balance of the year. You can view Paystubs by navigating to Employees > Employee List and selecting the employee in question. Then, select Employee Pay Statements in the Pay History drawer on the left.
If you're looking for the first observed balance of the year, navigate to Employees > Time Off > View Time Off Balances, and select View for the employee and code in question.
How year-to-date (YTD) accrued is calculated
The YTD Accrued amount is calculated using the following formula: Current Balance − First Observed Balance of the Year + YTD Used = YTD Accrued
Hiding year-to-date balances
If you would like to hide these balances, navigate to Settings > Employee Services > Time Off Policies > Default Policy. Then, un-check the YTD Accrued and/or YTD Used boxes.
