General Ledger Batch Summary Report rework

Background

The General Ledger Batch Summary Report previously did not include the standard filter panel found in most other reports on Greenshades. As a result, the page attempted to load all general ledger batches at once, which often led to slow performance and an overwhelming amount of data on screen.

What’s New

We’ve improved the performance and usability of this report by adding a filter panel on the left side of the page, consistent with other reports. This ensures clients can now filter and load only the data they need, making the report faster and easier to work with.

This enhancement provides a smoother reporting experience and quicker access to the most relevant information.

Inactive Code Filter Added to the Time off Summary report

Background

In the Time Off Summary Report, employee balances and changes have always displayed if activity occurred within the selected date range, even if the employee was no longer assigned to that time off code. While helpful in some cases, this sometimes cluttered the report with results for inactive codes.

What’s New

We’ve added a new toggle, “Include inactive codes,” to the Time Off Summary Report.

• By default: the report will include inactive codes.
• When toggled off: only active code assignments display, regardless of the date range selected.

This enhancement gives clients greater flexibility to focus their reporting on the data most relevant to their needs.

Meta data added to reports

Background

Clients shared that it was difficult to keep track of downloaded reports, since file names and report content did not always make it clear which date range, employee groups, or workspace the report came from. This made it harder to organize and quickly locate the right files at a glance.

We’ve made enhancements to three reports to improve clarity, usability, and performance:

  • File name now includes Workspace ID and date range
  • Added summary tabs for department and position totals
  • Added a new Report Criteria tab
• General Ledger Transaction Details Report
  • File name now includes Workspace ID and date range
  • Added summary tabs for class, position, work location, and department totals
  • Added a new Report Criteria tab
• Pay Run Results Report
  • File name now includes Workspace ID and date range
  • Added a new Report Criteria tab

These updates make downloaded reports easier to identify, summarize key totals at a glance, and provide better visibility into the criteria used, along with performance improvements for a smoother experience.
