What are Benefits Eligibility Changes?

Eligibility changes are when an employee is added to or removed from, or is changing a benefit package based on their eligibility. The way you set up packages provides the logic for when and how these changes are applied to an individual employee's benefits.

Note: You must have benefit packages set up under Settings > Employee Services > Benefits > Benefit Packages for this process to work.

Pending Benefit Package Changes

This grid displays the changes the system found and why it found them. It provides the current package that the employee is in and the one for which the system has found them to be newly eligible. You can filter the grid as needed, add or remove columns, and export the list to a PDF or spreadsheet.

You can check one or more rows of employees, and either approve or deny the recommended changes.

All Benefit Package Changes

Once you - or anyone else in your organization - approve or deny changes, a log of activivy is shown in the lower grid. The log displays previous and new benefit package, the date of approval (or denial) and who made the changes. This grid can also be exported and filtered as needed.

Definition of reasons

  • Manual Package Change: An administrator went in to an employee's profile (Benefits > Benefits Setup) and changed the employee's package manually.
  • Nightly package rules evaluation: This means the eligibility changes were discovered when the site reviewed information in an overnight process.
  • Updated rules for package: the benefit package was changed/updated and the new eligibility filters are being applied.
