What to do when a new Work Location is assigned to an existing employee

When an employee is changed from one work location to another, there are some things to watch out for to ensure a smooth payroll.

Changing a work location on an employee in an open pay run

In order to make sure that an employee in an in-progress pay run properly gets the update to their work location, you must remove the employee, and then add them back using Add employees manually option in the Employees step.



Changing multiple employees work locations in an open pay run

If you have to remove multiple employees, you might save time by choosing Cancel Pay Run and reopen it; this will refresh the entire pay run with the most recent employee profile information.
